The politics of wall-building in America

Why is the radical left in America so adamantly against building a wall along our Southern border to curtail illegal immigration? Surely it would reduce the conflict between our border patrol and people seeking to enter our country illegally or to smuggle drugs and human traffic victims across the border. The cost is not that great and, once built, it would reduce the costs of protecting our Southern border.

Could it be the image of a democratic country denying unlimited entrance to people seeking a better life? Not hardly; all countries protect their borders from unwanted smuggling or immigration. Borders are a basic definition of a country.

The Democratic strategists believe greatly increasing the influx of immigrants from South America is the surest way to make the Democratic, socialist, or progressive party dominant in America. Immigrants from South America become Democrats. Many were socialists before they crossed the border. Immigrants from Asia and Europe tend to vote Republican. Radical leftists do not encourage those immigrants. The left opposed letting the boat people from Vietnam into America. Immigrants from Asia have added more than they have taken from the American dream.

The leftist clamor for an open Southern border is solely to strengthen the Democratic Party.

The globalists and one-worlders who support the radical left’s border policy want cheap labor to increase the value of their investments. A continuing flow of immigrants from South America will provide a growing pool of cheap labor that will keep the price of labor low and increase the value of their investments.

Remember, the globalists brought America the ‘Rust Belt’ and nourished it for decades behind a curtain of lies and weak leaders. To them, profits are good no matter where they come from. Poverty in the Rust Belt was simply part of the consequences of seeking profits from China and other foreign nations filling in for the loss of manufacturing in America or, as some have preached, redistributing wealth from America to lesser develop countries is a good thing. The socialists agree but consider: except for the Soviet Union, all walls were built to keep people out. Only the socialists had to build a wall to keep their citizens in.

If the socialists ever take control, they could use Trump’s wall to keep Americans in. It is a wall they will need. I have a few pieces of the Soviet Union’s wall the freed people tore down so they could get out.

Managing the presidential dialogue

Being able to recognize and change the current political dialogue to support your goals is the mark of a very skilled politician. I’m talking about President Trump. The dialogue about the caravans, border security, sanctuary cities, and the economy is just about perfect. Until he has workable majority in the House and Senate and no cliff-hanging Rhinos, he will not raise the issue of the ‘Deep State’ or begin serious investigations of the crimes of Obama administration.

Before an investigation could start using the prosecutors of DOJ and the convening of a Grand Jury, the President would need to fire Jeff Sessions, Ron Rosenstein, Robert Mueller, and several others. A huge change in the national dialogue would sweep the nation. Some weeks would pass before the media, especially the left-wing media, would give up attacking the President for obstructing justice and colluding with the Russians.

To avoid losing control of the dialogue, the President will delay some or all of these actions until he has the time to set the stage by releasing many declassified documents that will show the involvement of several high-ranking Democrats involved in illegal activities to try and destroy the Trump presidency.

I wonder what the prosecutors will do with the Rosenstein, Mueller, Comey trio? Is it possible that Rosenstein and Comey knew Trump was surely going to fire Comey and would be looking for a perfect candidate acceptable to Congress and the Press? Rosenstein may have thought Trump would jump at the chance to hire Mueller, a well thought of former director of the FBI. All three must have been surprised when President Trump rejected Mueller.

I have no evidence for the above, except that they are long-term colleagues, and it does explain why Rosenstein was willing to write a memorandum to the President recommending he fire Comey, as he had Mueller standing just off-stage. Appointing Mueller as Special Counsel must have been the contingency plan. Rosenstein put himself in jeopardy with this action as he knew, by law, Mueller was not eligible for the job because of his close personal and professional relationship with Comey.

Now all we have to do is wait and see what happens after the elections on Tuesday. What ever happens, there will be surprises for all of us. In the meantime, all we have is wishful speculation.

After Election Day, what?

I’m confident that after the votes are counted, the Republicans will more than hold their current edge in the House and pick up at least four more Senate seats. The polls were way off in 2016 and they haven’t changed how the polling system works. The enthusiasm and crowds visible at all the Trump rallies are more indicators of voting tendencies than the establishment polls.

The real question is what will President Trump do after winning the mid-term election against historical precedent and the analysis from myriad talking heads? I believe he will immediately move to fund the border wall and deal with the Deep State.

Getting the border wall funded should be easy with a new Speaker of the House and a few more yes votes in the Senate.

The Deep State is another matter. It will require some heavy lifting from some of the RHINOS who still doubt the existence of President Obama’s weaponization of the civil service, especially in the FBI, the Intelligence Community, DOJ, and the Department of State. I think the President will first get rid of Attorney Jeff Sessions, his Deputy Ron Rosenstein, and Mr. Mueller. That will clear the way for a new attorney general to restore the “rule of law.”

Once Senator McConnell gets the President’s nominations for senior staff positions through the Senate’s approval process, President Trump will be ready to get rid of all the Obama implants that are obstructing his programs. When the President nominates new people for the DOJ and the FBI, we will see the “rule of law” reapplied and the people responsible for attempting to overthrow the Trump Administration and rights of our citizens brought to justice.

NOW IS THE TIME TO VOTE

There’s one week left until Election Day.

America is still teetering on the brink of socialism. One party, the Republicans (really the Trump Party), stands for small government, individual choice and freedom. The progressive or socialist party (once known as the Democrats) wants big government managed by an elite group that focuses on the greater good for all rather than individual choice and freedom.

The socialist message can be alluring to the have-nots, the takers, a number of do-gooder groups, and educators, all who believe in redistribution of wealth both domestically and worldwide. Management by an elite group is necessary for the success of the socialist plan. They distrust the election process and government by those who have won an election.

The downfall of all previous socialist governments lies in their necessity to increasingly centralize government to reach the goals allotted to each economic sector. Remember, their mantra is: “Control the means of production.” Unfortunately, overcentralization makes the management of government so complex no one can manage the result. Before total failure comes increasing coercion to make people follow the guidance of the socialist elite.

There are many examples of the failures of communist and socialist nations. Cuba and Venezuela are the most recent. On a more massive scale, Russia, Eastern Europe, and China have shown the cost of socialism and communism in human terms. Tens of millions have died under the control of the elites.

Once voted in, there is no easy way out. There will not be another election to change from a socialist government. That’s the promise of all totalitarian governments.

What are you voting for?

WHERE ARE WE?

Is there any doubt that a people’s revolt is pushing through the barricades of the entrenched bureaucracies, both in Europe and America? Bureaucracies of the elites are systemically taking away choices from the people.

In America, the elites in both political parties and the massive expansion of government started by the Obama progressive process of transformation are moving toward socialism. In Europe, the increasing centralization of economic and political power by the EU in Brussels was moving steadily toward globalism. The British people successfully revolted against the erosion of their sovereignty.

What is happening in America? Our dominate political parties have the same names, but they are unrecognizable using any yardstick from our history. The Democratic party has moved so far left under the leadership of President Obama and the Clintons that staunch party leaders from the past three or four decades would not recognize today’s Democratic party. The Republican party has been captured by an elite of theoretical conservatives who are not interested in governing, only in pursuing a shining goal of pure conservatism with the zeal of a medieval priesthood. Both party leaders natter on with religious zealousness while the people suffer. Neither elite is worthy of any of our loyalty.

Both of these ideological-driven elites have sponsored a corrupt primary election process to ensure they can select leaders who sound like them and worship at the same ideological altars. The Republican elites have rallied around defeating the candidate that overwhelmingly defeated all opponents. They would sooner give the leadership of the nation to the opposing party rather than support the candidate the people selected. This elite is blinded by their inability to recognize what the nation is calling for.

They whine about not going to the Republican Convention in Cleveland unless they can figure out some way to overthrow Donald Trump for a more controllable candidate who worships at the same altar with the same conservative chant. Some other ideological Republican elites swear they won’t support the candidate, or even vote for him. Instead they announce they are leaving the party. Good. No one needs or wants them. Including past presidents and national candidates. The nation needs to dump them. Their day is over.

We need leaders who put the nation and its people first. Leaders who can solve huge problems, not seek ideological purity.
