THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN

The vote is in. There is no mandate for a Republican takeover. In a democracy, the people get the kind of government they vote for. That is what elections are about. There will always be winners and losers. For now, the people have voted for more of the Biden brand of government trending toward socialism.

It appears that Bidenism is based on a vague ideology featuring a big government system that will take care of all Americans whether they need it or not. Out of control employment welfare, a system of free education, open borders, reduced resources for law and order forces in our cities, and a smaller weaker military are the result of a failure to recognize the reality of bread and butter issues. The individual is not important to the ideologues. They believe only a take-care-of-you government led by President Biden is necessary.

Socialists prefer to run political campaigns on broad ideological themes, and they present an attractive alternative to the voters who have to choose between conflicting ideologies. They do not understand the impact the political theories have on the issues that they do understand. Issues like the cost of gasoline and diesel fuel, the cost of food, employment opportunities, a strong military, inflation, high taxation, interest rates, health care, education costs, and safety of our streets. Our citizens understand these issues and are comfortable discussing these issues with their neighbors and friends.

One of our brightest revolutionaries understood issues were an effective weapon to use against opponents. The issue itself was important only to weaken the opposition. It didn’t matter which side of the issue his followers used. In fact, they could change sides at any time, as long as they used the issue to seize power.

This revolutionary, Saul Alinsky, coined the phrase “The issue is never the issue.” Two current politicians, Hillary Clinton and former President Obama, are Alinsky advocates. Unless you are socialist, you should realize the “the issue is always the issue.” The quality of our lives is based on our success in dealing with issues we believe in, and we need to vote for those who support our issues. Don’t get distracted by ideologies.

WAKE UP- WE ARE IN A POWER STRUGGLE

Second amendment repeal, end Electoral College, citizenship question on census form, no voter I.D., open borders, unlimited immigration, baseless charges of Republican collusion with Russians during the election, corruption in the FBI and Department of Justice, politicization of the civil service, globalization of the economy, failure to adequately fund the military, appalling failure of the FBI and local law enforcement to protect our schools and the main stream media to factually expose corruption and abuse of power wherever it is found.

The leftist, socialist, democrats, big government ideologues  and liberals are on one side. The rest of us are on the other and we are not as skilled as our opponents. Our opponents keep us off guard by constantly shifting areas of their attacks. The truth is that none of these issues is critical to our opposition. Saul Alinsky, the guru of Obama and Clinton, is right. The issue doesn’t matter. The issues are all part of the struggle for power. The left will used any or all of these issues to destroy their opposition, which is us.

While we are trying to fix, solve or improve all the issues that affect our lives, the opponents are focused on seizing power. History paints a clear picture. Once the left wins, it must use coercive measures to control society. There is no way bloodless way back. If you don’t want to look back a hundred years or more, just look at Cuba or Venezuela or California. Wake up this is serious and time is running out. Do not let the leftist elites follow their ideology and destroy the country for the rest of us.

TEST OF THE PRESIDENT’S PATIENCE.

I am both pleased and dismayed to see President Trump display so much patience for his appointed Attorney-General. Here is the first Senator to publicly endorse candidate Trump. What’s he done since then besides concealing he intended to recluse himself from nearly everything involving the Russians, Trump’s campaign, the illegal activities of the Clinton’s and the appointment of a Special Consul who should have been disqualified by the law due to his longstanding close relationships with persons involved with the areas under investigation?  Senator Sessions did not have the candor, honesty or courage to tell President Trump about his plans for recusing himself because he wanted to be the Attorney-General no matter what the impact would be on the new President. As a result he has done more damage to the Trump Presidency than any other person, including all the deep state people who have burrowed deep into the Federal bureaucracy and support the Obama cadres now running the Justice Department and other sensitive parts of the Government.

What is wrong with Attorney-General Sessions? Are his former colleagues right when they say he is incompetent and just doesn’t know how to take control and manage a large department like DOJ.

It’s bad enough  he doesn’t lead the charge to re-establish the ‘rule of law’, he’s also deliberately delaying a proper investigation of serious corruption and abuse of federal law and procedures such as applying for warrants from the FISA Court. The recused AG is now pretending to investigate several critical issues but the only result will be a review of the DOJ’s Inspector-General’s report by a U.S. Attorney from Utah. Under Jeff Sessions, the DOJ looks like it did under the Obama reigns of AGs Lynch and Holder. At least we knew what side they were on.

This is not an investigation. It is a whitewash. Mr.President, the American people don’t have your patience. It is past time to take control of the Justice Department under new leadership.

The Professor: Russia and Elections

A fictional discourse between a learned political science professor and his students.

I stress in my seminars that the modern political scientist or journalist must know how to think outside the box, have a solid understanding of history and, above all, a strong dose of logic and common sense. It seems there are very few who can check these three boxes. Look at the fervor over the alleged collusion of the Trump campaign with the Russians. According to the Progressive/Socialists, often referred to as Democrats, President Trump only won the national election because of Russian meddling in the election.

What the Progressive followers of Obama and Clinton don’t want to acknowledge and the Congressional Republicans are too timid and self-serving to say, is that the Russians have always meddled in elections, especially in the era of the Comintern organization of the Lenin/Stalin period. But the Russians have never tried to influence an election in favor of a capitalistic nationalist party. They have spent billions on hundreds of foreign political campaigns and elections to further the spread of communism and socialism.

Why would they try to help Trump when the Obama administration systematically weakened America’s military and economic power? Obama pulled missile defense systems out of eastern Europe, curtailed the American development of an ICBM defense, allowed Russia to put a strong military presence in the Middle East, including a naval base in the Mediterranean, refused Ukrainian requests for weapons to combat the Russian takeover of the Crimea and large parts of Ukraine and crippled the development and export of American oil and natural gas.

Candidate Trump made no secret of the fact, that he would rebuild America’s military and economic power. Hillary Clinton pledged to continue President Obama’s policies. The Russians are not dumb when it comes to advancing their national interests. Yes, the Russians can be counted on to meddle in elections in favor of their national interests. Candidate Trump’s campaign promises were and are not in Russia’s national interests. The only campaign and administration that have colluded with the Russians is that of the progressive regime of Obama and Hillary Clinton.

Today’s democratic/progressive messages are tied to the Alinsky strategy of using any and all issues to attack and destroy the opposition. Progressives may take any side of any issue as long as it furthers the progressive cause. Most of the national media is fully supporting progressive policies. Don’t look for truth or logic  in progressive messaging. They are not important. Sizing power is.

The Professor: What Happened to the Rule of Law?

A fictional discourse between a learned political science professor and his students.

“I can’t believe it is mid-July. The older I get, the faster time flies by. Something is wrong with the physics of time measurement. As I get wiser with age and think I’ve more to write, time reminds me, ‘No, you must be even more selective.’

“Okay. I got it. But the ‘rule of law’ is one of our most important principles and I must make a few comments for my students — past, present, and future. When I watch the “news” or follow events online, I’m struck by the ‘Alice in Wonderland’ nature of the political discourse. It seems everything must be investigated by everyone. We used to investigate crimes. Now we have the pinnacle of our law enforcement system, a special consul, investigating everything, searching for a crime that has not been identified. Without a broadly accepted and understood crime, how can the massive authorities and resources of a special consul be authorized?

“Or perhaps a more relevant question might be how can it not be authorized when clear rules and laws have been repeatedly broken and massive evidence has been collected and ignored? I think the only honorable course for Mr. Mueller, our special consul, to take is to immediately describe the crime and continue his work or state there is no crime to investigate and go back to history’s dustbin. Or he could pick up the investigation of the Clintons’ action in transferring a significant portion of American uranium to Russia through a Canadian company with payment reportedly being paid to the Clinton Foundation via grants and six-figure payments for speeches made by our former president while his wife was the secretary of state allegedly processing these actions through her private email server. This activity certainly is beyond a charge of collusion and closer to graft and corruption. What about the IRS scandal, Benghazi, the fast and furious arms deal involving the border patrol and secret meetings between the attorney general and a former president in a period when his wife’s actions were a ‘matter’ of interest to the FBI?

“We have moved from a place where nothing was investigated to where serious investigations are underway without a crime being defined. When the ‘rule of law’ is corrupted, we are on a very dangerous path to a place where the law does not apply to everyone but can be used to attack political figures and organizations. Both the progressives and the Republicans share the blame for this, one for being too aggressive and the other of being too timid.”
