THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN

The vote is in. There is no mandate for a Republican takeover. In a democracy, the people get the kind of government they vote for. That is what elections are about. There will always be winners and losers. For now, the people have voted for more of the Biden brand of government trending toward socialism.

It appears that Bidenism is based on a vague ideology featuring a big government system that will take care of all Americans whether they need it or not. Out of control employment welfare, a system of free education, open borders, reduced resources for law and order forces in our cities, and a smaller weaker military are the result of a failure to recognize the reality of bread and butter issues. The individual is not important to the ideologues. They believe only a take-care-of-you government led by President Biden is necessary.

Socialists prefer to run political campaigns on broad ideological themes, and they present an attractive alternative to the voters who have to choose between conflicting ideologies. They do not understand the impact the political theories have on the issues that they do understand. Issues like the cost of gasoline and diesel fuel, the cost of food, employment opportunities, a strong military, inflation, high taxation, interest rates, health care, education costs, and safety of our streets. Our citizens understand these issues and are comfortable discussing these issues with their neighbors and friends.

One of our brightest revolutionaries understood issues were an effective weapon to use against opponents. The issue itself was important only to weaken the opposition. It didn’t matter which side of the issue his followers used. In fact, they could change sides at any time, as long as they used the issue to seize power.

This revolutionary, Saul Alinsky, coined the phrase “The issue is never the issue.” Two current politicians, Hillary Clinton and former President Obama, are Alinsky advocates. Unless you are socialist, you should realize the “the issue is always the issue.” The quality of our lives is based on our success in dealing with issues we believe in, and we need to vote for those who support our issues. Don’t get distracted by ideologies.

WAKE UP- WE ARE IN A POWER STRUGGLE

Second amendment repeal, end Electoral College, citizenship question on census form, no voter I.D., open borders, unlimited immigration, baseless charges of Republican collusion with Russians during the election, corruption in the FBI and Department of Justice, politicization of the civil service, globalization of the economy, failure to adequately fund the military, appalling failure of the FBI and local law enforcement to protect our schools and the main stream media to factually expose corruption and abuse of power wherever it is found.

The leftist, socialist, democrats, big government ideologues  and liberals are on one side. The rest of us are on the other and we are not as skilled as our opponents. Our opponents keep us off guard by constantly shifting areas of their attacks. The truth is that none of these issues is critical to our opposition. Saul Alinsky, the guru of Obama and Clinton, is right. The issue doesn’t matter. The issues are all part of the struggle for power. The left will used any or all of these issues to destroy their opposition, which is us.

While we are trying to fix, solve or improve all the issues that affect our lives, the opponents are focused on seizing power. History paints a clear picture. Once the left wins, it must use coercive measures to control society. There is no way bloodless way back. If you don’t want to look back a hundred years or more, just look at Cuba or Venezuela or California. Wake up this is serious and time is running out. Do not let the leftist elites follow their ideology and destroy the country for the rest of us.

The Professor: Realities and Challenges in the Trump era

A fictional discourse between a learned political science professor and his students.

In little over a month, I’ll be seeing some of you in my honors seminar. For those of you who have other plans and commitments, I’ll continue to send you my thoughts and analysis of current events.

I believe this next class maybe the most important one I’ve ever taught. There is too much at stake for any American who loves this country to sit on the sidelines. The realities are fundamentally frightening. We have just come thru an extraordinary period of destructive national government policies. I’m not being a pessimist when I say, we cannot survive as free democratic nation unless we can recover from the results of the last ten or so years.

First the realities as I see them. The nation is deeply divided between the people who want the welfare promises of socialism and those who believe there is no individual freedom and prosperity under any form of socialism. In a cradle to grave government, there are very few individual choices. An absence of individual choice defines the absence of freedom. President Obama knowingly presided over a transformation process that would ultimately lead to a socialist government. A process that Hillary Clinton would have continued. Remember they both made no secret of the allegiance they paid to Mr. Saul Alinsky.

It was Mr. Alinsky, a brilliant revolutionary writer, who provided the intellectual under pinning to the Progressive movement, including the name. Mr. Alinsky stressed to his followers that the terms socialism and communism would not attract wide support in America and to use the term progressive instead. He also used the terms ‘leading from behind’ and ‘the issue is never the issue.’ I will cover the political takeover of the center/left Democratic Party by the Progressives. Today the Democratic Party of the American political scene is only a misleading name for the Progressives.

The Progressives do not accept that Donald J. Trump won the national election and is now their president. They are doing, and will do anything to bring down his Presidency before it can establish itself and bring America back. They are supported and, even led, by the national media, our higher educational institutions, and the entertainment world. The deluge of misinformation and lies from our once renown media outlets, is having an effect. Without the Presidents tweets, there would be no other broadly disseminated information source. I believe that is true but am still amazed by the weirdness of that statement.

Even though President Trump won the election and selected his cabinet and other government employees, his own Department of Justice, is at best, not engaged and at worst, actually hostile. How else can you explain the existence of a Special Consul when no crime has been identified and it is staffed and run by those openly opposed to the Trump Administration? How could this happen when the Attorney-General and his deputy were appointed by the President?

In my seminar, we will examine the past policies of President Obama and apply the America First principle to both domestic and international actions. Advanced warning, don’t sign up if you base your arguments on emotional beliefs. Just the facts, please.

The Professor: Russia and Elections

A fictional discourse between a learned political science professor and his students.

I stress in my seminars that the modern political scientist or journalist must know how to think outside the box, have a solid understanding of history and, above all, a strong dose of logic and common sense. It seems there are very few who can check these three boxes. Look at the fervor over the alleged collusion of the Trump campaign with the Russians. According to the Progressive/Socialists, often referred to as Democrats, President Trump only won the national election because of Russian meddling in the election.

What the Progressive followers of Obama and Clinton don’t want to acknowledge and the Congressional Republicans are too timid and self-serving to say, is that the Russians have always meddled in elections, especially in the era of the Comintern organization of the Lenin/Stalin period. But the Russians have never tried to influence an election in favor of a capitalistic nationalist party. They have spent billions on hundreds of foreign political campaigns and elections to further the spread of communism and socialism.

Why would they try to help Trump when the Obama administration systematically weakened America’s military and economic power? Obama pulled missile defense systems out of eastern Europe, curtailed the American development of an ICBM defense, allowed Russia to put a strong military presence in the Middle East, including a naval base in the Mediterranean, refused Ukrainian requests for weapons to combat the Russian takeover of the Crimea and large parts of Ukraine and crippled the development and export of American oil and natural gas.

Candidate Trump made no secret of the fact, that he would rebuild America’s military and economic power. Hillary Clinton pledged to continue President Obama’s policies. The Russians are not dumb when it comes to advancing their national interests. Yes, the Russians can be counted on to meddle in elections in favor of their national interests. Candidate Trump’s campaign promises were and are not in Russia’s national interests. The only campaign and administration that have colluded with the Russians is that of the progressive regime of Obama and Hillary Clinton.

Today’s democratic/progressive messages are tied to the Alinsky strategy of using any and all issues to attack and destroy the opposition. Progressives may take any side of any issue as long as it furthers the progressive cause. Most of the national media is fully supporting progressive policies. Don’t look for truth or logic  in progressive messaging. They are not important. Sizing power is.

The Professor: Trump and a Progressive Coup

The following is a fictional account of the dialogue between a political science professor and the students of an honors seminar in an East Coast liberal arts college.

Robert had just asked, “Is a coup possible in America?”

The Professor smiled and said, “Robert, that’s a very fundamental question. Especially because of the polarization we now have in America. Coups don’t have to be the result of armed conflict or widespread street violence. Remember most dramatic changes in the form and substance of government has occurred through the ballot box and not out of the barrels of guns.

“More correctly, most dramatic changes in the form of government are the result of several voting cycles. The journey to socialism, communism or fascism is an incremental process. Many years ago, I wrote a small book called “Stepping Stones to Tyranny” that explains the process of the gradual loss of choice and individual freedom. The successful socialist revolutionary will pose several issues to the public, none of which seem dramatic. National health care is a good example of a single, but critical first step. Each step results in an expansion of government and a corresponding reduction of  life choices available to individuals in a free society.

“The results of a recent move of a nation into a socialist economy, is Venezuela. The message of Socialism is a seductive one. Voters attracted by the benefits and class warfare rhetoric don’t see they are losing the power of choice or individual freedoms until it is too late. For the Socialist/Progressives to be successful they need a population that has been brought to the promise of ‘cradle to grave’ care over decades. We are close to that point in America, which is why I believe the Progressives have a real shot at establishing a one-party socialist government if they can get rid of the Trump Administration by any means.

“I don’t think there is much doubt that the Progressives/Liberals control our education system, especially in colleges and universities. They certainly have won over most of t national media. The Black and Hispanic voters favor Socialist candidates by wide margins and they have the highest birth rates in America. Illegal immigrants from South and Central America will vote for Progressive Candidates. Our largest population centers on both coasts vote for liberal candidates. Take away the Electoral College and go to a popular vote tally to determine winners and the Progressives could win the next national election. Among registered voters, those who voted twice for Obama, once for Hillary Clinton and today believe the election was stolen from her by the Russians are already in the Progressive/Socialist camp.

“Look how far the Progressives have come in pushing their anti-Trump agenda. They have caused the appointment of a Special Prosecutor, Mr. Mueller a former FBI Director, to investigate collusion between the Trump Administration and the Russians. This all without any evidence that any crime was committed. The Progressives have won a victory simply by keeping the anti-Trump media drum beating its mind-numbing tune. Play the big lie often enough and people will believe it. (A tactic out of the Nazi playbook.)

“The stay behind Obama followers, who have embedded themselves in the Trump Administration, are leaking real classified documents and making up others to damage the Trump Administration. Of all traitors that expose national secrets, leakers are the easiest to find. It is a huge stain on the record of the FBI and The Department of Justice (DOJ) that they are not even conducting a serious effort to find the leakers. Under the Obama Administration leaks made the President look good. Those leakers where never found either.

“The last barrier the Progressives must break through is the ‘rule of law. Unless Mr. Mueller can motivate the FBI and the DOJ to investigate and prosecute offenders, no matter who they are, this important safeguard of freedom will be gone and the Socialist will have won.

“Yes, Robert, I believe a coup in America is possible. Your generation may be the last hope we have of keeping a government consistent with individual liberty alive.”
